Timeless Dreams
Have you ever snoozed your alarm clock, fallen asleep again, and drifted into a multi-scene dream that seemed to span several hours or days?
I wake up startled, thinking, “Oh, no! I overslept!” A glance at the clock reveals otherwise. Without fail, usually fewer than 15 minutes have elapsed since the snooze. Always baffled, my typical response is, “Really? How could this be?”

It will not make sense until we accept that dreams dwell in a different dimension: supernatural (spiritual) and timeless.
Timeless Time
A couple of days ago, I was reading one of Daniel’s visions concerning end times. In the vision, an angel shared the timeline for future events. He said they would take place in “time, times, and half a time.” (Daniel 12:7-9)
I wondered about this “time” and asked the Lord. Thus began the breadcrumb trail – to a destination unknown.
Consider this, Jesus spent the last three years of His life on earth preaching and teaching the Gospel of His Father’s Kingdom to multitudes in Israel. Yet, during His three-day visit to an unseen place, after His crucifixion, He preached the Gospel to a significantly greater number of souls. These had already left this earth before He came. (1Peter 3:18-20; 4:6)
Now, in earth time, that assignment should have taken much longer than three years, let alone three days! Not only did Jesus reach those souls held captive since Adam and Eve sinned, but He also led “captivity” captive and defeated the power of Death! (Ephesians 4:7-10; Hebrews 2:14)

Earth time is chronological and cyclic: our age increases, but birthdays are celebrated annually. (Unless you were born on February 29 in a leap year).
In fact, time is measured by days, nights, months (moons), and seasons. Ecclesiastes chapter 3:1-8 lists a few examples of things we often record.

However, the Bible tells us that some things are for always. They are neither cyclic nor chronological. They exist outside of time!
Instinctively, I could see the end of the breadcrumb trail.
Timeless Thanksgiving is a Key
It is hard to fake thankfulness if you are having a difficult day, a rough year, or a tough life! I get it. We all do.
However, the reason that God tells us to give thanks always (Ephesians 5:20) is not only because He likes to hear it. The instruction is really for our benefit.
Thanksgiving (like prayer, praise, worship, and faith) lives outside of time. It exists in the timeless dimension. When practiced, this simple act of obedience transforms into a key to unlock the supernatural.
We are granted unlimited access to God’s grace, mercies, and faithfulness in this timeless dimension! The Fruit of the Spirit dwells here, too (Galatians 5: 22-25). Nothing timeless is affected or hindered by this world. Instead, the invisible influences the visible. From my perspective, this is truly a reason to be thankful!
Thank you so much for reading this. I appreciate you and your support. I wish you a very Happy Timeless Thanksgiving Day and Season. May this truth grant you access to all the grace, all the joy, and all the peace found in Christ Jesus. Amen!
