The Passover Love

To behold the Lamb is to behold the Passover Love. Indeed, everything Jesus accomplished on this earth was an expression of His Love.

Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.”
(Isaiah 53:7)

The Passover Love Came Down

Love left His glory and splendor on High.
He was born in the flesh and breathed His first cry.
His humble bed was not for a palace made,
But where animals fed the King was laid
In a manger.

Love Grew

As He sought to understand and fear
The Love that sent Him to live and die down here,
He learned obedience as He grew.
Yet He was understood by so few, in
His affliction.

Love Gave

As Love walked throughout the Land,
Everywhere that He raised His fleshly Hand
The sick were healed, the dead were raised,
Blind eyes opened, and as He gave, the
Demons trembled.

Love’s Surrender

Love submitted and poured out His Soul
So that mine would be made entirely whole.
"Father, Not as I will, but Your Will be done!"
On that dark and fateful night, His victory was won in
His surrender.

Love Suffered

When Love was rejected at the whipping post
He did not call out for Heaven's host.
Mocked, bruised, and beaten, He silently bore my pain
So, my cries are heard whenever I plead His Name. For us,
He suffered.

Love’s Sacrifice

As He lay down His will and life
He made the ultimate Sacrifice.
His death was not at all in vain,

For He bought our forgiveness from sin and shame.
Behold! the Lamb of God, for
The Passover.

Love Made Known

Love's Blood speaks mercy from God's Throne
To cause us to know Love, even as we are known.
May every chilled heart become gently warmed,
And the storms of the Soul be made calm,
As we live for the One who first

Loved us.
